Overview

This is the repository of my different hardware projects. Some of them are of smaller scale, and the applied solutions are relatively simple; however, the road leading to them wasn't always trivial.

Nixie Tube Propeller Clock

This is the full account of the development of the Nixie Tube Propeller Clock, the first such device of this kind. Among other useful information, the complete schematic diagram and the well-documented firmware are also provided (a particularly useful resource for beginner microcontroller hobbyists).

An article about the Nixie Tube Propeller Clock was published in the February edition of the Circuit Cellar magazine. The clock's coverage on this website serves as a complement to the article; also, this is where the latest information [such as firmware updates] are posted.

The HP 59309A Clock Restoration Project

Back in 2002 I got an ancient HP 59309A digital clock from MG Electronics; a real beautiful gadget, but with a few issues. Here you can read about the problems and the solutions.

Atomic Clock Adapterization

My Radio Shack atomic clock is a nifty little device, with the ability to project the time on the wall with beautiful red light at night. It's only problem is that the clock is run from batteries, which is even more annoying considering that the device does have a wall adapter for the projection LED. Find out how I put an end to this idiotic situation.
